Sal Salis - Fishing Guides

Murray Pattison

Murray was born and raised in Marondera in Zimbabwe; a small farming town in Mashonaland located 72 kms east of Harare. When Murray was only 8 years old he was fishing the mighty Zambezi River for tiger fish and bream and by the time he turned 12 he was an experienced fly fisherman making his own flies and recording some pretty impressive records and trophy catches.

All of this changed when in 2004 Murray moved to Perth and discovered West Australian game fishing!  Murray is now one of the youngest bill fishing authority on the north west coastline. He joined Sal Salis in the 2010 season and personally commissioned and oversaw the completion and outfitting of the camp's new Leisure Cat fishing boat the Sal Canis. Murray is a qualified Marine Technician and also has his ‘non-restricted’ West Australian Coxswains License.
